I’m in the process of finishing out my Khorne Daemonkin army. Right now, it sits at around the 1200 mark, depending on what I leave out for summoning later. I could probably get close to 1500 with it, but I have an old-style Bloodthirster I always leave out for summoning.
This squad of bikers I’m adding to complete my Gore Pack formation. The other squad is kitted out just like this one, but with these bikers, I decided to use some more regular Chaos Space Marine components when putting them together. Also, I’ve magnetized one of the Biker Champion’s arms, in case I want to add a power weapon, or some other option, later. Yeah, I know it’s not a rule anymore, but I still prefer to go by WYSIWYG.
For the paint scheme, I used Khornate Red for the base, then slathered on some Carroburg Crimson on the armor plates. For the trim, I’m using the P3 paint Blighted Gold, which I think looks great for gold Chaos Space Marine trim. On the previous squad I used Liberator Gold for the trim highlights, and I’ll definitely use that again here. Metals are either Boltgun Metal or Chainmail, depending on the part, with a wash of Nuln Oil. Red armor highlights will be Evil Sunz Scarlet followed by Wild Rider Red. The champion’s flesh is the standard Bugman’s Glow, Reikland Fleshshade, Kislev Flesh recipe.
And for my Chaos armies, I go a little old-school on the bases. And by that I mean I paint them Goblin Green. Yep, I still have a functioning pot of that paint around. I hope to have these guys finished in the next week or so. I’ll post more progress later.
